How do you go about recruiting for VIZX?

Recruiting involves the process of identifying, attracting, selecting, hiring and onboarding qualified professional healthcare candidates. These candidates are identified depending on their location, experience, licenses and specialty i.e.; Operating Room Registered Nurse (OR RN), Certified Nursing Assistant (CNA), Labor and Delivery (L&D), Respiratory Therapist (RRT) and Emergency Room Registered Nurse (ER RN) among others.

What is Mining in Recruiting?

Mining is looking for qualified willing nurses. We use sites like indeed, zip recruiter and Job diva to source out the candidates.

I feel, as different recruiters, we have different ways of mining. What may work for someone else may not work for me. Personally, I mostly use indeed and zip recruiter to mine for candidates. In addition, the recruiters find what strategy works best for them while mining.

What healthcare specialties are mostly in demand?

Currently, due to the surge in Covid-19 pandemic cases, the healthcare industry has shifted to highly demanded specialties including, Intensive Care Unit Registered Nurses (ICU RN), Emergency Room Registered Nurses (ER RN) and Registered Respiratory Therapist(RRT).

Nurses in the above specialties are responsible for working with patients in critical conditions, providing 24/7 care, Administering medicine, Stabilizing incoming patients, monitoring patients vital signs, reviewing and analyzing Covid-19 data, assisting in planning and  implementation of containment strategy and evaluating progress of treatment.

What are the qualities of a good recruiter?

To be a good recruiter, there is need to have excellent communication skills, be eloquent, patient, hardworking, have integrity, working in teams, being goal oriented, working under pressure and with minimal supervision. These are some of the personal attributes that are required to work as a recruiter at VIZX International.

Who is Dan?

Apart from being a recruiter, Dan is an aspiring young Kenyan who loves art, paintings and music especially jazz.

What do you consider your greatest life achievement?

Mentoring young kids. We actually have a foundation for funding young campus adults or those joining who are financially challenged. It’s the little things that matter.

In truth- VIZX is not just a company, but a family that gives you freedom and encourages personal growth. Employees are involved in trainings like ‘Grant Cardone’ and monthly CEO roundtable meetings that helps them gain more professional skills but also life hack values like the SAVERS- if you know you know.

What was greatest challenge as a recruiter?

Starting off, I found it hard to break into the market. There are bad days and good days. Also, neither of those days will be there forever so you have to keep on grinding.

What’s the future of recruitment?

Recruitment in healthcare industry is a promising career especially that it is ever growing. This is indicated with the fact that it involves offshore outsourcing where there is inclusivity of recruiters worldwide to engage in building the American dream.

How’s working international?

Working with international clients gives recruiters exposure because it is a platform to interact with different people with different personalities.
